I think the Nano batteries are great. Very light for the amount of power supplied.
However there are a couple of things you should consider. Nano batteries take a different charger which is not included with this item.
Also if you look up a Dewalt DC827KL impact wrench, you will get a better deal. You get an impact wrench, the same two batteries, a charger and a case for $20 more than just these two batteries.
Think about it...

DeWalt 18v is my livelyhood. i normally charge 2 xrp batteries every day, 1 charge and these l-ion last me 1 1/2 to 2 days each. lighter, faster cherge, longer life, more power late in the cycle. i was doughtful they would be worth the cost, but i'm sold 100%. oh, and DON'T BUY THE BLACK TOPS (dc9181) these are low grade, cut rate crap, designed for the weekend warriors.

It makes me very happy that DeWalt has produced a system of the new generation lithium ion batteries that work in tools I bought with the older nickel cadmium style batteries. It also makes me happy that the chargers work with both kinds of batterys. These lithium ion batteries work well now, last when charged and I am expecting them to last through many rechargings. Thank-you DeWalt.
