I bought this charger because I was going camping and would not have access to electricity. I have a Kodak camera that takes special batteries that are costly. I bought a rechargeable KLIC-8000 battery for the camera and this charger allowed me to re-charge my battery from my vehicle. It worked perfect and I was able to take tons of pictures and video! I'm not sure what other batteries can be charged with the charger but it works great with the KLIC-8000.
